Like a Virgin Decaf
Like a Virgin Decaf
Decaf coffees communicate a lot about a coffee company. Oftentimes counting for about 1% of many cafés’ coffee business, decaf offerings can be little more than a perfunctory effort. We think, though, if you’re going sell it, you’d better be able to get behind it. Even if it’s not your cup of coffee. That is to say: we’ve got your backs, decaf drinkers of the world.
Decaf can conjure up an unpleasant flavor for some people. This is often due to junky beans or flavors left behind by the decaffeination process. But we believe that a really good decaf shouldn’t taste much different than it tasted before it became decaf. The characteristics of that coffee should survive the decaffeination process.
This coffee was decaffeinated using the Sugarcane Process. The process uses ethyl acetate an organic compound found in sugarcane to remove 97% of the caffeine from coffee beans. The process tends to leave a pleasant, sweet flavor.
